The IQ Certification Program is totally voluntary. NBFAA and CANASA members and nonmembers can individually choose to participate in the program.

The IQ Certification Program has been carefully crafted to allow alarm companies to achieve a certification for their efforts at improving the overall quality of their work while combating false alarms.

It rewards those who choose to participate.

IQ Certified Companies have the distinct marketing benefit of having a tool to showcase their commitment to installation quality and false alarm control that is certified by an autonomous third party. In addition, certified companies receive recognition in the Who’s Who in the Alarm Industry, on the Internet as well as in other industry publications.

IQ Certified Companies may also use their certification to form better relations with law enforcement and fire prevention professionals since they will be easing the burden that false alarms place on the public safety
